Miami Dade College is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for professional architectural services. The college aims to select multiple firms to provide these services for projects throughout the campus. The selection process will establish two pools of architectural firms: one reserved for small local business firms (principal place of business in Miami-Dade County) with project construction costs not exceeding $1,000,000, and a second pool open to all firms regardless of minority status or geographical area, with project construction costs not exceeding $7,500,000. Firms cannot submit for both pools. Selected firms will be responsible for reviewing zoning ordinances and building codes, incorporating this data into construction documents, obtaining necessary permits and approvals, and potentially providing consulting services. Questions regarding the RFQ must be directed in writing to William Planas at ***@***. *. * by May 28th, 2026, before 4:00 p. m. EST. Proposals are due by June 18th, 2026, prior to 3:00 p. m. The evaluation criteria will include staff and experience, legal claims, additional information, location, experience, small local business enterprise, and LEED capabilities. Firms must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to public records, conflict of interest, and foreign countries of concern. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, auto liability, and workers' compensation. A detailed proposal submission is required, including a letter of interest, SF 330, and information on joint ventures, licenses, and insurance. The college reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. A cone of silence is in effect from the release of the solicitation until 72 hours after the recommended award action by the Board of Trustees, with specific exceptions for public meetings.
