Bids are requested for sump cleanout services at two Village of Wilmette facilities. The work involves removing and disposing of approximately 165 cubic yards of debris. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on August 27, 2026. Questions are due by September 1, 2026, and bids are due by September 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time, submitted electronically via Demandstar. com. Bidders must have at least five years of experience and employees must have current confined space certifications. The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the most advantageous bid. Failure to comply with communication restrictions may result in disqualification.
All work is expected to be completed no later than December 31st, 2026.
Payment of invoices with the Village's purchase order number will be due within 30 days of completion of the work, acceptance of the work by the Village, and receipt. Invoices received without the Village's purchase order number will be due within 45 days.
Contractor agrees to provide warranty coverage per attachment one and attachment two, and to cooperate with the Village in the event the Village makes any warranty claim.
The work shall be awarded to the responsible bidder who submits the responsive bid that is most advantageous to the Village.
Bidders must have five years of experience as a continuously operating entity engaged in similar work, and employees assigned to work must have current confined space certifications.
Failure to comply with communication restrictions may result in disqualification. There may be a deduction from compensation for each person for each calendar day during which discrimination or intimidation occurs.

Causes for disqualification include prices excessively high, failure to meet delivery/performance schedules, failure to price out the bid correctly, reasonable suspicion of conflict of interest or collusion, failure to submit required information, late bids, failure to sign bid forms, prohibition by law, being in arrears to the village, failure to perform faithfully on previous contracts, or violation of procurement policies.
