Routt County, Colorado is seeking bids for one plow truck with a front-mounted reversible plow head, and potentially a second truck. The vehicle must comply with FAA advisory circulars and SAE standards, be all-wheel drive with all-wheel steering, and manufactured in the USA. Bidders must provide manufacturer certifications for various components. Bids are due by September 1, 2026, at 1 PM Mountain Time. Delivery is expected on or before September 27, 2027. All prices must include delivery.
Delivery is to be on or before September 27, 2027.
Progress payments will be made monthly, with 95% of the approved amount paid within 30 days of application. The remaining 5% will be paid upon issuance of the certificate of completion.
The bidder shall warrant equipment for one year after commencement of actual operation, covering defects in design, material, and workmanship. Engines and transmissions are warranted for a minimum of one year.
The county will award this RFB to the lowest responsible bidder.
Bidders must provide manufacturer approvals and certifications for engine, transmission, axle, transfer case, hydraulic pumps and motors, air blast unit, gear drives and gear boxes, drive shaft, and transmission cooling system components.
Liquidated damages are set at $100 per day for each day the project remains unfinished beyond the delivery date of September 27, 2027.
Protests must be submitted in writing and received by the county representative on the earliest of seven working days after the aggrieved person knows or should have known of the facts giving rise thereto or ten days after award.
Unauthorized contact with county representatives other than the designated contact person may cause disqualification of the bidder.
