This is a notice for comprehensive technical and operational support for the Energetics Manufacturing Departments Disposal and Decontamination Branch at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). The contractor will provide services including explosives decontamination of government facilities and equipment, disassembly/dismantling of equipment, operation of thermal treatment units, management of explosives and materials potentially presenting an explosive hazard (MPPEH), and disposal of scrap metal and hazardous materials (including asbestos and lead). Supplementary support includes preparing procedures, material preparation, certification and verification inspections, and final facility turnover.
