The contract time for this project is 47 calendar days from the receipt of the notice to proceed.

The bid form states that the district shall pay the contractor the sum set forth in the bid, with payments made as set forth in the general conditions. Progress payments are typically made monthly, with 95% of the value of work performed paid after approval, and final payment made after completion and acceptance.

The contractor guarantees all work furnished on the job against all defects for a period of one year after the date of acceptance of work by the district. This includes repairing or replacing defective work and any adjacent work displaced during repairs.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder by action of the governing board.

Bidders must be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and licensed to perform the work. Contractors and subcontractors must be properly and currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and qualified to perform public works.

Liquidated damages of **** per calendar day will be assessed for each day of delay beyond the contract time. Penalties may also apply for violations of labor laws, including failure to pay prevailing wages.

There will be a mandatory prebid conference starting at Wood Ranch Elementary School and continuing to 7 other school sites. Any contractor bidding on the project who fails to attend the entire mandatory job walk and conference will be deemed a nonresponsive bidder.

Contractor shall furnish for approval, within thirty-five (35) days following award of contract, all samples as required in specifications together with catalogs and supporting data required by district.

Any bidder may file a bid protest in writing with the district's director of purchasing not more than five (5) business days after the date of the bid opening.

The bid notice states that sealed responses are to be received no later than 2:00 PM PDT on Wednesday, May 05, 2026. sealed responses are to be received no later than 2: 00 pm pdt on wednesday, may 05, 2026.

The bid due date for submitting bids is no later than 02:00 p. m. , May 5, 2026. For cold patch, the successful bidder shall supply it on a 24-hour notice. The contract period for blanket requirements and bid prices is July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.

The bid notice states that payment terms are net 30 days.

The bids will be evaluated and awarded based on the most cost-effective proposal in the best interest of the town. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities, and accept the bid deemed most favorable.

The town may make investigations to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and bidders shall furnish all necessary information and data.

If the awarded bidder cannot supply the specified product in the time stated, the town will purchase the product from the next lowest bidder and charge the awarded bidder for the extra cost of the materials.

Bidders must be able to submit samples if requested.
