Proposals are requested for on-call electrical services for three years, with options to renew. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Proposals must be submitted via email with specific file names. The RFP includes detailed requirements, qualifications, and selection criteria. Additional documents (nondiscrimination, nuclear free, etc. ) are required. The city may contract with multiple vendors. Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of a correct, approved invoice. The city reserves the right to withhold payment until city inspection is completed and work is accepted.

The city will make payment to the vendor within 30 days of receipt of a correct, approved and complete invoice.
Contractors will warrant that all materials, work, services and modifications shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of at least 36 days from the date of completion. All products installed by contractors shall be warranted by contractor to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year, except that mechanical equipment shall be warranted by contractor for a period of three years. The longer period being the warranty period.
The following criteria will be considered, although not exclusively, in determining which firm is hired: project approach (20%), expertise references (25%), costs (25%), and work capacity and experience (30%).
Priced proposals will be considered only from licensed, electrical contractors who have been in the commercial electrical business at least five 5 years, bondable for 2,000,000 or more, and have experienced personnel to perform the required services.
A brief explanation of the required work will be provided along with an opportunity to view the site.
The city is seeking multiple electrical contractors to handle a range of electrical services on an on call as needed basis for three years, not to exceed 300,000, with the option to renew for two 1-year optional extensions, upon mutual agreement by the contractors and the city manager.
