This is a performance work statement for preventative maintenance and
repair of medical equipment. The contractor is responsible for providing all services, materials, and equipment for the
repair and preventive maintenance of specified equipment located at the Naval Hospital. NHB biomedical engineering will provide the initial assessment. Equipment improvements/modifications require written approval from the medical
repair branch. The contractor must notify the medical
repair branch immediately upon receipt of OEM or replacement parts/equipment safety recalls notices. The contractor is responsible for service-related trip expenses, including round-trip travel, mileage, and overnight living expenses. The contractor must respond by telephone to any report of a malfunction requiring
repair within two hours of notification by NHB and provide onsite support within 48 hours. The government retains ownership of the equipment. The contractor is required to report to the medical
repair branch building 87 for signing in at the log book during the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, prior to and upon completion of any service/
repair performed. The contractor shall maintain replacement
repair parts and materials necessary to perform each
repair or supply said parts and materials within 4 days. All compensation for labor (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST) and parts/materials is included in the contract price. Parts and supplies provided under this contract shall be guaranteed to be equal in all respects, including performance, interchangeability, durability and quality to the OEM parts when new or as presently recommended by the manufacturer.
