Solicitation for sandblasting and painting of eight tainter gates at Amistad Dam. Project involves surface preparation, sandblasting, and application of a new coating system. Includes lead-based paint testing and removal, gate cable re-tensioning, and seal replacement. Project duration is 365 days from award. Site visit is highly encouraged. This is a 100% small business set aside. The estimated project value is $1 million to $5 million. Award will be based on technical acceptability, past performance, and management approach. Electronic invoicing via IPP system. Active Unique Entity ID (UEI) required.
The project is expected to be completed within 365 days from the date of award.
Information concerning accessing the IPP system will be provided at time of award.
The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror based on technically acceptability, based on contractors technical approach, expertise and qualified personnel to provide the services, past performance, and management approach.
Minimum qualifications for award include at least 5 years of experience on construction projects similar in magnitude and complexity, a Dun & Bradstreet PAYDEX score or Experian business credit score. Minimum technical qualifications include experience as a contractor with the federal government on similar projects, experience installing vinyl-type immersion coatings, and experience with work requiring specialized scaffolding, manlifts, or ropes.
Contractors are highly encouraged to attend a site visit to provide potential bidders with an opportunity to inspect the worksite and existing conditions. Site visits may be scheduled for Amistad Field Office, 670 Texas Spur 349, Del Rio, TX **** site visits are not permitted.
A 'no' answer by any participant to the minimum qualifications for award questions disqualifies a joint venture from bidding on this project. Failure to submit required technical approach and past performance will deem a proposal non-responsive and no consideration for award will be given.
