Bids are due by 2:00 PM local standard time, Monday, August 17, 2026.

The criteria for awarding bids include: previous work performance, reliability, skill, qualifications and integrity of bidder, bid price, cleanliness, sufficiency of equipment, fitness and responsibility or capacity to perform the work or furnish the supplies at the bid price, insurance and licenses when required by law in a form and amount satisfactory to the city, references and experience of the bidder, good communication and compliance with bid requirements set forth in the specifications, Wyandotte-based business, and any other criteria of the city, in its sole discretion, feels is necessary for the particular bid.

If requested by the City, the low bidder must furnish information including: address of business, articles of copartnership or incorporation or license to do business under an assumed name, itemized list of equipment, list of supervisory personnel, certified or authorized financial statement, list of present contracts, list of recent projects, and any additional information required to satisfy the City that the bidder is adequately prepared.

If the successful bidder fails or neglects to enter into contract with the City and furnish the necessary bonds within twenty (20) days of the date of the award, the bidder's bond or certified or cashier's check shall be forfeited to the City of Wyandotte as liquidated damages.

Bidders shall inspect the site of the proposed work to satisfy themselves as to all local conditions affecting the contract and the detailed construction requirements.

The contractor may be required to submit preliminary samples of materials intended for use.

Causes for disqualification include: evidence of collusion among bidders, lack of competency (financial, experience, or plant equipment), lack of responsibility (past work), or uncompleted work under other contracts that might hinder prompt completion.

Bids will be received until 2:00 PM local time, on August 4, 2026.

Contractor shall be paid in accordance with article 14 of the general conditions.

A maintenance and guarantee bond is required for a period of two years from the date of payment of the final estimate.

The owner reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any bid, or waive irregularities in bids.

Each bidder must complete the statement of qualifications and may be required to submit additional evidence of qualifications.

Contractor shall pay owner $1,**** per day for each day that expires after the substantial completion date and for each day after the completion and readiness for final payment date.

Before submitting a bid form, each bidder shall personally inspect the site of the proposed work.

Illegibility of any figure or word in the bid form may be cause for rejection of the bid.

Installation must be completed by November 16, 2026. Takedown must be completed by February 8, 2027.

Contractors must be licensed and authorized to perform work in the state of Michigan and have Minimum five years of experience providing holiday or decorative lighting services.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required: In order to qualify, all bidders must attend the mandatory prebid meeting at 9:00am on monday, july 27th, 2026, located at city hall: **** biddle avenue, suite 300.

Bids may not be honored unless made on the furnished forms with all blanks properly filled out. Failure to submit a bidder's bond, certified check, or cashier's check will result in the bid not being considered.

Installation must be completed by November 16, 2026. Takedown must be completed by February 8, 2027.
