This tender is for HVAC improvements at the Shelby Township DPW. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of two existing boilers, replacement of pipes and valves at VAV boxes and finned tubes, and the replacement of two RTUs and the control system. Proposals are due by June 9, 2026, at 2 pm. A mandatory prebid meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 2 pm at the project location. Questions regarding the prebid must be submitted to the architect before 2 pm on June 4, 2026, via email. Bidding documents can be downloaded from www. ***. *. * bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the maximum bid amount. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities.
Sealed proposals are invited for the project and will be received at the Township Clerk until 2 pm, local time June 9, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Township Council Chambers immediately thereafter.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish the required insurance and bond certificates. The contractor shall execute a guarantee in writing, warranting all products provided by him or for which he may be required to accept responsibility in accordance with the terms of the contract documents, to be and to remain without defect and in accordance with the contract documents.
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, negotiate contract terms, waive irregularities in bidding, and/or to accept the lowest responsible proposal that, in the opinion of the owner, will serve his best interest.
Bidders must complete the Familial Disclosure Statement and the Affidavit of Compliance Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Bidders must also submit a bid bond or certified check in an amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount.
If any bidder refuses to enter into a contract, the owner will retain his bid security as liquidated damages, but not as a penalty. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project within the specified time are specified per calendar day based on the original contract amount.
A mandatory prebid meeting will be held at the project location at 2pm, June 2, 2026.
To obtain approval to use unspecified products, bidders shall submit written requests at least five 5 days before the bid date. Requests received after this time will not be considered.
The owner reserves the right to disqualify bids before or after opening, upon evidence of collusion with intent to defraud, or other illegal practices upon the part of the bidder.
