The Bakersfield City School District is seeking proposals for an ELOP Afterschool Elementary Sports Program. Proposals must be submitted by March 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The contract will be awarded to one vendor for one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms. Questions regarding this RFQ may be submitted by email no later than 10:00 a. m. , March 4, 2026. The district reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The award will be made to the vendor whose experience and approach to service best aligns with the districts educational goals and instructional standards. The district intends to be invoiced monthly for services rendered. All pricing quoted herein shall remain firm through May 21, 2027.
The bid notice states Services requires 52 coaches that will provide services for three hours after school is released, 5 days a week with the exception of district holidays, and the following fridays which precede a holiday break: november 20, 2026, december 18, 2026, and march 19, 2027, or as otherwise directed by district calendar updates.

The district seeks to engage a vendor that demonstrates a high level of knowledge, experience, and capability in delivering high quality, standards-aligned, afterschool sports for TK-6th grade students, including English learners (EL) students and special education students.
A preproposal conference will not be held for this request for proposal.
Should any vendor question or protest the award of contract to the apparent winning proposal, such question or protest must be furnished in writing to the director of purchasing no later than three 3 working days following the date of rfqp opening.
