Bids are being accepted for the Glendale Nursing Home Garage. There will be two prime contracts. Digital copies of specifications are available from BidNet Direct or by request via email. Paper copies can be picked up at the Purchasing Department with 24-hour advance notice. A pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for July 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Proposals are due by July 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM. A 5% bid bond is required. Questions must be submitted in writing by July 22, 2026. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. The county reserves the right to reject any bid.
All proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked bid and stating Glendale Nursing Home Garage, ****, to the purchasing agent, no later than July 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
Schenectady County operates a formal purchase order system. Under no circumstances will the vendor or contractor be paid without a purchase order.
Bids will be evaluated based on lowest total bid cost and projected timetable for completion, completeness of the bid, and bidders demonstrated capabilities and professional qualifications.
Schenectady County may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work.
A pre-bid walkthrough will be held on July 15, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the Glendale Nursing Home. While not mandatory, it is highly encouraged.
On request only, unless otherwise notated in the bid specifications, vendors are required to submit a sample of each item quoted within 72 hours of request.
Bids received from bidders who have previously failed to complete contracts within the time required, or who have previously performed similar work in an unsatisfactory manner, may be rejected.
