The Town of Simsbury is seeking proposals from qualified fire alarm design professionals to assess existing fire alarm systems in eight town buildings, recommend upgrades, and design a comprehensive system. The work includes evaluating condition, performance, and code compliance, and developing bid documents for the upgrades. Proposals are due by August 25, 2026. A mandatory walk-through is scheduled for August 4, 2026. Questions must be submitted by August 11, 2026.
Proposals will be accepted until 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The selected consultant shall be chosen based upon their relevant expertise and thorough knowledge of the professional services, functions, activities, and related responsibilities to successfully perform the scope of work described in this rfp. Evaluation will be based upon a combination of qualifications and cost.
The selected consultant shall possess all applicable valid and pertinent State of Connecticut licenses for the work. Consultants shall provide a letter of transmittal, qualifications licensing, firm description, experience, project team resumes, references, exceptions/alternatives, project approach, and timeline.
A mandatory walk-through is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 am at DPW, 66 Town Forest Road, West Simsbury CT, ****.
