Bids are due electronically by Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. The contract is for fire alarm maintenance service, including inspections, calibration, and repairs, for various buildings on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. The initial contract period is up to twelve months, with options for four additional twelve-month periods. Bidders must submit a list of repair parts and replacement units to be stocked, along with technician qualifications, resumes, and licenses. Emergency service calls are included, with a 24/7 response for critical situations. The university reserves the right to award items separately, grouped, or on an all-or-none basis. Payment terms are Net 60.

The contractor agrees to accept full responsibility for all fire alarm systems and to leave them in first-class condition on the termination date.
The intent is to award this bid to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
All technicians furnished under this contract shall have at least five years of experience in fire alarm systems, and at least one technician servicing the account shall have a class D technician license.
Failure to deliver within the time specified in the bid award will constitute a default and may be cause for contract cancellation. The university may purchase goods or services on the open market and surcharge the vendor with excess costs.

Written inquiries must be received in the UL Lafayette Office of Purchasing no later than five (5) calendar days prior to the opening of bids.
Failure to meet all mandatory requirements, including submitting incomplete technician information or missing mandatory attachments, may be cause for rejection of the bid.
