Work includes selective demolition throughout, with most existing finishes being completely removed. New work includes new flooring, painting, wallcoverings and window treatments. As an Alternate, the mens restroom will receive new tile floors and new acoustic ceilings. Mechanical work includes the replacement of many of the existing grilles. A new drinking fountain will replace the existing. All lighting in the public spaces will be new. A new audio- visual system includes projector, motorized screen, sound system and lighting controls.

Plumbing upgrades include a new plumbing fixtures in renovated shower rooms, new water heaters and recirculating hot water system, and replacement of all below slab cast iron sanitary piping. Mechanical upgrades include replacing all DX split systems, new restroom exhaust systems, replacement radiant heaters in the Drill Hall, and upgrades to the Automated Logic Corp building automation system provided via allowance by Emcor. Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The Base BID Work shall include construction of a reinforced concrete auxiliary spillway with two, 8 feet by 16 feet, precast concrete culverts through the dam crest to serve as the spillway inlet with a reinforced concrete stepped chute along the downstream slope that discharges into a reinforced concrete stilling basin at the toe of the dam. A reinforced concrete floodwall with concrete cutoff shall be constructed along the upstream crest of the dam along KY- 555 with rockfill placed along the upstream slope of the dam. A rockfill stability berm shall be constructed along the downstream slope. The BASE BID Work further includes a new low- level drawdown valve in the dry well of the riser structure, replacement of the existing low level drawdown valve, and remediation of concrete cracking and seepage in the existing principal spillway culvert. In addition, the City of Springfields raw water intake will be abandoned and new raw water intake lines installed within the principal spillway culvert. A Contractor designed Water Diversion Plan is required. The new roof system is to be 2- ply SBS modified bitumen roofing applied with cold adhesive over new 1/2" gypsum cover board set in two- part foam adhesive. Wrinkles and other surface defects in the existing roof will be cut out prior to installation of the new roof system. All new prefinished metal gutters, downspouts, fascia, flashings, blocking, roof splashes, accessories, and terminations are included.
