Contractors interested in bidding on the project must submit an application demonstrating their capabilities, capacity, and experience in underwater construction. Draft contract articles related to security are included. Bid documents, project drawings, and specifications will only be available to prequalified firms. Prequalification with other agencies does not guarantee
qualification for this project. The project involves inspecting, documenting, and reporting on the condition of sluice gate chambers at
Round Valley and Spruce Run reservoirs. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning, hydroblasting, and assessing the condition of the sluice gate assemblies. Removal and replacement of select components may be required. Applications for prequalification must be submitted by a date one week after the bid advertisement date. Prequalified bidders may receive bid documents as early as the end of May/beginning of June 2025. Construction activities are anticipated to start in late summer/fall 2025. The contract duration is expected to be approximately 9 months. The respondent must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the authority that it meets the minimum requirements and will perform at least 50% of the total contract price. The application must include statements of organization, prior experience, document and information controls, security articles, project team, safety record, and quality assurance/quality control plan. The NJWSA will evaluate
qualification statements to determine suitable applicants. Applicants may request a hearing if denied prequalification. Submittals must clearly indicate the project title and bid number on the outside of the package. Two hard copies and one digital PDF copy on flash drive of the required
qualification information must be submitted to the procurement office.
