The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the best and lowest bid. Vendors must be qualified and in the business of building emergency medical vehicles. The primary manufacturer must be a member of the Ford Pro Upfitter program and have a minimum of 10 years of uninterrupted manufacturing of similar vehicles. A preconstruction conference will be held with the successful manufacturer. The vehicle must meet various safety standards and undergo testing. The vendor must inspect and test all systems. The primary manufacturer must provide a 24/7 technical assistance service.
