The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is seeking a qualified contractor to modernize
elevators at three locations. The deadline for questions is May 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The bid due date is June 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Electronic submissions are required via email to ***@***. *. * pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on May 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The contract will require preventative maintenance of
elevators for 24 months following acceptance. Bidders must be registered on the eMaryland marketplace (emma) website (www. ***. *. *) prior to receiving a contract award. Additional documents, including a bid affidavit, performance bond, and payment bond, are required and must be submitted with the bid. The successful bidder will be the prime contractor responsible for all aspects of modernizing the
elevators, including building-related work required by code. The bid must be submitted in the official name of the firm or individual, signed by a duly authorized person. The bid must include all required information, and any changes must be initialed. The bid must be held valid for 120 days following the closing date. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive minor irregularities. The contract will be governed by USM procurement policies and procedures, state finance and procurement article, and state procurement regulations. A 15% MBE subcontractor participation goal has been established. The contractor is responsible for the removal of trash and debris from the work area daily. Work hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All employees must adhere to appropriate conduct standards. The University may request the removal of any employee without cause at any time. All written materials submitted become the property of UMB. The University utilizes eBuilder project management software. The project team and contractor will be required to register for use of the eBuilder system through UMB DC. The bidder must use UMB forms included in the bid document. The bidder must acknowledge any amendments. The bidder must indicate any deviations from the specifications of the referenced material and provide specification sheets addressing all salient features of the offered material.
