Sale of post-consumer lead acid batteries. Quantity: approximately 42,212 lbs. Bids due by 06/23/26, 2:00 PM EST. Payment required within 15 calendar days from pickup. Winning bidder must provide a certificate of recycling within 45 days. A site visit is optional. The Fort Knox QRP will provide a forklift and operator for loading. Transportation charges are the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Winning bidder agrees to pick up the recyclable materials within five 5 working days after notification. The Fort Knox QRP shipping hours are from 7:30 a. m. until 2:30 p. m. est, monday through friday except for federal holidays.
The winning bidder will be invoiced within five 5 days of time of pickup. Payment will be due within fifteen 15 calendar days from the date of pickup.
Evaluations for award will be based on best price offered to the QRP.
The winning bidder agrees to provide the attached preaward survey as part of this solicitation. Survey must be received at the same time this solicitation package is returned to the Fort Knox QRP.
If the winning bidder fails to pay for and/or remove property offered for sale herein within the time allowed by the agreement, the Fort Knox QRP will send the winning bidder a written ten 10 day notice of default calculated from the date of mailing, and upon the winning bidder's failure to cure such default within the period, the winning bidder shall lose all rights, title, and interest which he may otherwise have acquired in and to such property as to which a default has occurred.
A visit by prospective bidders to examine/view the materials offered may be arranged by contacting the Fort Knox QRP at 502 ****, or ****, 8:00 a. m. - 3:00 p. m. est monday through friday except for federal holidays. Materials will be available for examination until end of day one business day before all bidding closes.

Any potential bid may be deemed nonresponsive for reasons including, but not limited to, failure of the bidder to conform to this solicitation, the bidder's previous failure to conform to safety or environmental requirements, the bidder's previous or current indebtedness to the federal government, or previous acts of negligence or misconduct on behalf of the bidder related to their performance of a Fort Knox QRP sales agreement or similar sales agreement with an agency of the federal government.
