The provider warrants that portable fuel storage tanks delivered throughout the parish are in good working order and free from defects.
Award shall be based on the fuel cost reference no. fuel1, fuel2, fuel 3. The price per gallon for fuel shall equal the current price listed on the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) based on the five-day average for the fuel plus the bid amount.
The parish will conduct investigations to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability and stability of the bidder to do the work in accordance with the contract documents.
Failure to complete or deliver within the time specified or to provide the services as specified in the bid or response will constitute a default and may cause cancellation of the contract. The parish reserves the right to purchase any or all products or services covered by the contract on the open market and to charge the vendor with the cost in excess of the contract price.
The bid notice does not require sample submission.
Protests based on alleged solicitation improprieties that are apparent before bid opening must be filed with and received by the procurement department before two working days of the bid opening. Any other protest shall be filed no later than ten calendar days after the opening of the bid, the basis of the protest is known or the basis of the protest should have been known whichever is earlier.
