construction of dredging facilities oceanside harbor maintenance dredging annual maintenance dredging of oceanside harbor. the harbor is split into a commercial harbor that supports commercial fishing vessels as well as recreational boaters and a military harbor that supports operations at marine corps base mcb camp pendleton. construction services will consist of maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channels within oceanside harbor. the navigation channels include the entrance channel, the del mar channel leading to the del mar boat basin in camp pendleton and the oceanside channel leading to oceanside harbor see below. dredged quantities vary, but average approximately 250, 000 cubic yards of material annually. the authorized channel depths are 20 feet below mllw with advanced maintenance ranging from 25 to 30 feet below mllw in the entrance channel. dredged material will be beneficially reused as beach fill material on downcoast beaches. the material will be placed along oceanside beach centered
