Road Dust Government Bids & RFPs

The contract shall commence upon signature of the contract and end no later than November 15, 2026.

Payment shall be made on the amount of work performed based upon the unit prices placed on the bid forms. Payment shall be made upon submission of an invoice and acceptance of the work by the city engineer or designated agent. Five percent (5%) retainage will be held on all work of this contract.

The contractor will warrant that all workmanship shall be first class and shall be performed by persons qualified and licensed in their respective trades.

Failure to meet any or all the specifications listed in this IFB may result in rejection of a bid. A single contract will be awarded for all bid items.

All bidders must furnish proof of a minimum of five (5) continuous years in business and at least three (3) references for completed projects of similar size and scope in the last 3 years.

The bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of five hundred (****) dollars for each consecutive calendar day thereafter that the work is not complete as provided in the contract.

Every request for such interpretation should be submitted electronically online to www. ***. *. * prior to June 2, 2026, by 11:00 am.

Late submissions will not be accepted. Bid proposals received after the time due will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM EDT.

The bid notice states that general payment terms are net 30 days upon receipt of goods unless otherwise stated.

The bid will be awarded to that responsible, responsive bidder whose bid, conforming to this solicitation, will be most advantageous to the city, price and other factors considered.

To be considered, your company must specialize in and have provided the services listed herein as indicated in the specification section.

In case of default by the contractor, the city of Farmington Hills may procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the bidder responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby.

Generally, when required, samples will be specifically requested in the request for bids. Samples, when required, are to be furnished free of charge.

If within the past ten 10 years, the vendor or any of its proposed subcontractors has sued the city of Farmington Hills, or has been sued by the city of Farmington Hills, with respect to project related claim or issue, the vendor shall not be eligible for consideration.
