The City of La Mirada is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of a new electronic marquee sign at City Hall. This includes removing the existing sign and installing a new dual-sided programmable LED display. A mandatory job walk and inspection is scheduled for June 24, 2026. Proposals are due by 4 p. m. on July 30, 2026. The project completion date is anticipated to be no later than December 31, 2026. The contract requires a 10-year warranty on materials and labor. Bidders must possess a valid general building contractor license or a C45 sign contractor license and a city business license. Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of work scope, experience, quality of proposed sign, approach, and price.

15% at contract signing, 70% upon acceptance of work, and the balance 60 days after project completion, provided all punchlist items are complete and subcontractors/suppliers are paid.
All materials and labor must be guaranteed for a minimum of ten (10) years.
Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of work scope (15%), demonstrated experience (20%), overall quality of the proposed sign (20%), proposed approach (15%), and overall responsiveness, quality, price, and acceptance of contract terms (30%). The city may negotiate with top proposers for the greatest benefit and best value.
Proposers must have substantial experience in providing and installing electronic marquee signs and must possess a valid general building state contractors license or a class C specialty contractor C45 sign contractor state contractors license, and a city business license.
The contract is subject to California Labor Code sections **** through ****, including penalties for violations such as underpayment of prevailing wages or working excess hours.
A mandatory project walk-thru and inspection with city staff is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. at La Mirada City Hall.
Proposers shall submit proposed samples or detailed manufacturers specification pages for verification of style, color, and quality with their proposal.
Failure to meet the city's insurance requirements shall result in disqualification and/or withdrawal of any contract award. Proposals not submitted by the deadline will not be accepted.
