The vessel will be utilized primarily for training purposes, specifically to launch and recover dry combatant submersibles ( DCS), seal delivery vehicles ( SDVs), and their supporting surface safety boats, and U. S. Navy divers. It will also be used for simulated ship attack, training for under hull surveys, and training for anchoring and loitering.
