The selection criteria include proposed pricing, bidders previous record of performance and service, quality and the ability of bidder to render the services, proposed staffing plan, safety record, and references.
Bidders must provide a detailed list of the bidders qualifications, experience, and references, including at least three 3 references from public school districts or municipal clients for whom the bidder has performed similar elevator maintenance services within the past five 5 years.
If a bidder selected as contractor fails to execute the agreement within five days, the bidder shall forfeit its bid security.
A mandatory prebid meeting for potential bidders will be conducted on october 7, 2026, beginning at 10: 00 a. m. , at the torrington administration building.
Requests for information must be submitted no later than 12: 00 p. m. est, on october 14, 2026.
Bids may be rejected if they fail to include all the required documents and information, are conditional or alternate bids, or have omissions, alterations of form, additions not called for, or irregularities of any kind.
