The County of Dutchess is soliciting bids for the removal of an existing dump body and the installation of an aluminum mason dump body, including a sander with accessories, on a **** Ford F550. All repairs, parts, accessories, and labor must be included in the bid price. Sealed bids are due on or before 2:00 p. m. on September 22, 2026. Bids will be opened in person and via Microsoft Teams. The award will be made to the lowest priced responsible bidder. Samples may be requested by the county for product evaluation.
The completed vehicle must be delivered clean and ready for immediate service, and delivery shall be coordinated in advance with Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
The contractor may expect payment for verified deliveries or services within 30 days of receipt of a properly executed invoice.
The contracted vendor will include all related installation labor coverage for the full period of time that the equipment is warranted by the manufacturer, including removal, reinstallation, troubleshooting and repair labor required to correct faulty equipment, materials or workmanship.
The bid will be awarded to the lowest priced responsible bidder that satisfies the requirements of these specifications, with consideration to timeliness of delivery.
A responsible bidder is a manufacturer, producer, dealer, vendor, or bona fide manufacturers agent who the county determines has demonstrated judgment and integrity, is of good reputation, experienced in his work, whose record of past performance in the trade is established as satisfactory, and whose financial status is such to provide no risk to the county of dutchess in its contractual relations.
Samples may be requested by the county for the purpose of product evaluation, and it is understood that samples will be provided at no charge to the county by the vendor.
Failure to mark an item yes or no on the technical specifications checklist may result in rejection of the bid as nonresponsive.
