The Town of Hampton, NH is seeking proposals from qualified architecture, engineering, and/or planning firms to conduct a space and needs analysis, preliminary design, and preliminary cost analysis for a new public works facility. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 10:30 am. The maximum not-to-exceed funding available is $75,000. Proposals are due by 3:00 p. m. on June 23, 2026. The award is expected within 15 working days of the RFP opening and will be made to the most responsive and responsible proposal on a total cost basis, with terms viewed as most favorable to the town. The consultant shall begin work upon contract approval and complete all tasks by October 31, 2026. A completed draft of the final conceptual design and preliminary budget shall be delivered at least one month prior to the aforementioned date.
Fees will be billed monthly based on the percentage of task complete. Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of the submission of a completed written invoice and authorized by the public works director.
The award will be made to the most responsive and responsible proposal that meets the specifications contained herein on a total cost basis, with terms viewed as most favorable to the town, and with the satisfactory negotiation of a contract agreement. The lowest cost proposal may not necessarily be selected, as the town will also weigh the factors as set forth in the towns purchasing policy and purchasing procedures.
Proposals must be submitted by qualified architecture, engineering, and/or planning firms. The proposal should include a statement summarizing how the consultant and/or project team is particularly qualified for this project, along with resumes of key staff and descriptions of prior related project experiences.
The town, acting through the town manager, retains the right to terminate and dismiss the consultant and any subcontractor or team member for nonperformance, or deficient performance with five (5) working days' notice.
There will be a mandatory site visit on June 2, 2026, at 10:30 am.
A consultant may be disqualified, and their proposal rejected for failure to supply complete information as requested, lack of experience, or evidence of collusion among other consultants.
The maximum not-to-exceed funding available is $75,000, inclusive of labor and all project expenses related to the scope of work.
