The City of Charleston, WV is soliciting quotes for an open-end contract for the purchase and delivery of sodium chloride roadway salt. Bids are due by June 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The estimated quantity is approximately 6,500 tons, with a guaranteed minimum purchase of 5,000 tons. Delivery is required within 10 business days after issuance of a purchase order to 670 Court Street, Charleston, WV 25301. Vendor shall accept payment in accordance with the payment procedures of the City of Charleston, WV. Payments for goods/services will be made in arrears only upon receipt of a proper invoice, detailing the goods/services provided or receipt of the goods/services, whichever is later. The city will pay proper requests for payments within thirty 30 days following citys receipt of a proper request for payment.

Failure to deliver within the required delivery period, failure to provide timely and accurate written delay notices, or failure to cure a delayed delivery may constitute a material default, allowing the city to cancel the purchase order or contract and charge the vendor for excess costs.
