The Alachua County Housing Authority (ACHA) is soliciting proposals for a General Labor Contractor Unit for a one-year period with the possibility of extensions up to five years. Proposals are due by February 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST. Any questions or clarifications may be directed to the attention of Ronald Hall, director of operations ***@***. *. * by the question deadline of tuesday february 10, 2026. The award will be based on the selection criteria: business profile experience, past performance, section 3 business concern, and pricing sheets. The contractor must comply with various HUD requirements and provide insurance. The contractor must also register with and use the e-Verify system. The contractor must inform the authority of any sex offender/predator or convicted felon under his employment. An ACHA representative will inspect all work prior to acceptance and payment. The contract may be terminated under certain conditions. The contractor shall plan a schedule of work with the achas director of maintenance, and adhere to the work schedule and subsequent timeline provided within this document.
The bid notice states proposals will be received until tuesday february 17, 2026 @4: 00pm est.
The authority will make payment on a net30 basis.
The award will be made based on the selection criteria. Each request for proposal will be considered individually. The quality of services to be supplied, their conformity with the specifications, their suitability to the requirements or acha, past work experience, and the delivery terms will be taken into consideration. Price shall be considered, but need not be the sole determining factor.
Proposals will be evaluated by acha using the following point scale: criteria value maximum point 1. business profile experience 20 2. past performance list of existingprior contracts 20 3. section 3 business concern 10 4. pricing sheets 50 total 100
In case of failure on the part of the contractor to deliver goods or services in accordance with the contract, the authority, after due oral or written notice to the contractor, may procure therequired goods or services from other sources and hold the contractor responsible for any resulting additional purchase and administrative costs.
