Hazardous fuels reduction The procurement includes hazardous fuels reduction in national forests in western North Carolina, specifically in post- hurricane Helene areas. The work involves developing logging plans, constructing and closing landing areas, preparing and removing damaged timber and small roundwood material via helicopter, road maintenance, and hauling forest products. Landing restoration will be required upon completion. The procurement also specifies bio- preferred products such as diesel fuel additives, hydraulic fluids, penetrating lubricants, greases, gear lubricants, fuel conditioners, 2- cycle engine oils, and erosion control materials.
