Sealed bids are invited for three 35,000 GVWR single axle dump trucks with full snow build. Bids are due by July 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Questions must be submitted in writing by July 8, 2026. Addenda will be posted online. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes. The award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Pricing is requested for both pre-2027 and 2027 emission standard trucks. Delivery is to the City of Ofallon Fleet Department.
Bids must be received and time stamped no later than the public bid opening date and time, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. CDT. Late bids will not be opened or considered.
The city's goal is to pay properly submitted contractor invoices within thirty 30 days of receipt, providing goods have been delivered, approved, and accepted by an authorized city representative.
A minimum three year, 36,000 mile full warranty on the entire unit bumper to bumper is required. Specific warranties are also required for the engine (five years, 80,000 mile), transmission (three year unlimited), and electric motor for the tarp (one year).
This bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications based upon the total lump sum bid amount.
Bidders must demonstrate comparability by including appropriate catalog materials, literature, specifications, and test data. The city will determine acceptability as an equivalent. Bidders must also be E-Verify compliant and provide documentation. A signed, notarized affidavit affirming enrollment in a federal work authorization program must be submitted.
If the city terminates the contract due to the contractor's breach, the city has the right to purchase equipment elsewhere and charge the contractor with any additional cost incurred. The contractor shall not be relieved of liability for damages sustained by the city.
Failure to meet mandatory requirements will result in disqualification. Bids containing omissions, erasures, conditions, alterations, or additions not called for may be rejected. Failure to sign the bid may cause it to be determined nonresponsive.
