Traffic Survey Government Bids & RFPs

The bid notice does not specify a delivery deadline for proposals. However, information for industry day one-on-one sessions is requested by Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and questions for the government are due by Thursday, June 11, 2024.

Owner shall pay contractor for performance of the work in accordance with the contract documents in current funds as shown in exhibit a: proposal. Progress payments will be made on the basis of the progress of the work, the amount of which will be decided by the engineer. Progress payments will be made in accordance with state act 524.

Contractor warrants and guarantees to owner and engineer that all work will be in accordance with the contract documents and will not be defective. If within two 2 year after the date of substantial completion, or such longer period of time as may be prescribed by law or by the terms of any applicable special guarantee required by the contract documents or by any specific provision of the contract documents, any work is found to be defective, contractor shall promptly, without cost to owner, and in accordance with owners written instructions, either correct such defective work or, if it has been rejected by owner, remove it from the site and replace it with nondefective work.

The owner and engineer will further assess the bids based on the following criteria: 1. Cost effectiveness 2. Similar past project experience 3. Ability to complete project within timeframes.

To demonstrate qualifications to perform the work, each bidder must be prepared to submit within five 5 days of owners or engineers request, written evidence of any information deemed necessary by the engineer for bid evaluation, including, but not limited to, financial data, previous experience, evidence of authority to conduct business in the jurisdiction where the project is located or covenant to obtain such qualification prior to award of the contract.

Owner and contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay but not as a penalty contractor shall pay owner, city of belleville, 500 for each day that expires after the time specified in paragraph 3. 1 for completion until the work is completed.

Before submitting a bid, each bidder must visit the site to familiarize itself with local conditions that may, in any way, affect cost, progress or performance of the work.

Contractor also shall submit to engineer for review, with such promptness as to cause no delay in work, all samples required by the contract documents.

The deadline for request for information RFI is Tuesday, June 02, 2026, 10 am EST.

Failure to submit any such data within the five 5 day period shall give the owner and the engineer the right to finally reject the contractors bid.

The contract documents state that substantial completion for all work under the contract documents shall be October 30, 2026, and final completion for all work under the contract documents shall be November 15, 2026.

The bid notice indicates that progress payments will be paid in full until ninety percent of the contract price has been paid, with the remaining ten percent retained until final inspection, completion, and acceptance of the project by the owner.

The contract documents state that the contractor warrants and guarantees to the owner and the engineer that all work will be in accordance with the contract documents and will not be defective.

Award of a contract, if it is awarded, will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid complies with all the requirements prescribed.

Bidders must have a SAM. gov active registration and shall submit a copy of their active SAM. gov active registration with their bid. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska contractor's license and a current Alaska business license prior to the time of opening bids.

The contract documents mention liquidated damages of $2,500 for each calendar day that expires after each individual area completion date.

A walkthrough of the project site will be held immediately following the pre-bid conference meeting on May 26th, 2026.

The contract documents mention that samples shall be submitted in accordance with section **** Contractor Submittals, but do not specify a requirement for sample submission in the general notice.

The contract documents state that questions received less than 7 days prior to the date for opening of bids may not be answered.

Failure to register when downloading contract documents may adversely affect your proposal. Failure to acknowledge addenda shall render bid nonresponsive and shall cause its rejection. Failure to submit a completed subcontractor report within the time specified will be found to be not a responsible bidder and may be required to forfeit the bid security.
