The County of Oconee is seeking quotes for the construction, labor, materials, and installation of an
automatic vehicle access gate at High Falls County
Park. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site during normal operating hours. All questions must be submitted in writing by August 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Quotes are due August 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The gate must match the style and operational function of the vehicle gate at South Cove County
Park. A detailed project schedule, including anticipated start and completion dates, must be included with the quote. The project completion is required within 180 calendar days from the date of notice of award. The successful contractor must provide proof of insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, business commercial automobile liability, and workers compensation. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all licenses and permits and paying all associated fees. The County will waive any fees for county building permits for work in unincorporated areas. The County is subject to South Carolina sales tax on all purchases of goods and services, except for the mining operation of the Oconee County rock quarry, and the recycling operation of the Oconee County solid waste department. 6% sales tax must be added to all orders, except for the mining operation of the rock quarry. Lump sum bids, however, shall include sales tax in the quote unless otherwise noted. The contractor shall submit signed contract, performance and payment bonds, and certificate of insurance, where applicable, within ten (10) days of receiving a notice of award. Upon receipt of signed documents, a purchase order will be issued. The contractor shall contact Stephen Schutt, project manager, for final inspection. Payment will be made after Mr. Schutt approves the inspection. Submit all installation, owner manuals and other product documentation to the owner representative upon completion of the project.
