Chautauqua County is seeking bids for snow removal equipment, including a truck, plow blade, and rotary brush. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on July 28, 2026. The contract duration is one year. The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to investigate bidder responsibility. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes. Payment will be made electronically. The county is exempt from federal and state taxes.

The required standard base warranty includes no less than one year full warranty coverage on the chassis, two years of full warranty coverage on the axles and on all attachments. The engines shall carry a minimum five year, 100,000 mile warranty and the transmission shall carry a minimum of five year manufacturer's warranty. All warranties begin after delivery.
The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who meets the terms and conditions of the specifications.
The county may make such investigation as it deems necessary to determine the qualifications and ability of a vendor, and the vendor shall promptly furnish the county all such information and data as the county may request for this purpose.
If the vendor fails to perform under the contract, fails to meet specifications, or fails to make satisfactory progress so as to endanger the overall contract performance, they may be determined to be in breach and the contract may be terminated.
Nonconforming bid submittals are subject to being rejected. Failure to acknowledge receipt of bid addenda is grounds for rejection of a bid.
