Competitive sealed bids are accepted for the refurbishment of the therapy pool at Splash in the Boro waterpark. The bid submission deadline is September 17, 2026, at 4:00 pm. An onsite visit is mandatory. The scope includes draining the pool, removing old plaster/tiles, and installing new Florida Stucco Gem plaster or equivalent, with a 3-year warranty on plaster delamination. Bidders must be licensed contractors in Georgia and provide required insurance and references.
Payments will be made upon completion of all work and acceptance by the county on invoices submitted and approved by the project manager within 30 thirty days of receipt of invoice.
The new pool surface shall have a 3year warranty covering any plaster delamination. warranty shall cover both material and labor.
If awarded, an award will be made to that responsive and responsible bidder or bidders with the most advantageous bid or bids to the county, price and other factors considered.
The bidder must include a minimum of four 4 references for contracts of similar nature.
Should the contractor fail to complete the project within the specified time, the contractor shall pay to the county the sum of 0 per day as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, for each calendar day that the project continues beyond the specified completion date.
