The district seeks qualified firms to provide constructability review, value engineering, master scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, and construction services for playground replacements at McKinley, Hazelton, and Elmwood elementary schools under a leaseleaseback structure. A mandatory job walk is scheduled for October 1, 2026. Proposals are due by 2:00 p. m. on October 20, 2026. The evaluation is based on the district's adopted best value methodology. Contractors must be prequalified and comply with prevailing wage requirements.
During construction, the district shall pay tenant improvement payments. Once the project is complete, the developer shall lease the completed facilities back to the district for a predetermined monthly lease payment amount.
The rfqp packets will be evaluated based on the districts adopted criteria and rating system to determine the qualified respondents providing the best value to the district.
Respondents must be properly licensed by the california contractors state license board and registered with the department of industrial relations dir as required by law.
A mandatory job walk will be conducted on thursday, october 1, 2026, beginning at 10: 00 a. m.
