water tower repairs for the facility management services in support of hampton va medical center **** Repairs: a Reinstall the hinged vent screens into the roof vent assembly so that they sit correctly and cover all openings during normal operation. b Install a gasket secured with band clamps to cover the gap between the access tube and tank roof connection. c Plug any open tank roof penetrations. d Remove the rigid rail safety climb systems from all of the interior dry ladders. e Provide and install a new cable style safety climb system onto all of the interior dry ladders and the interior wet ladder. f The owner will need to drain the tank for southern corrosion to access the interior wet ladder. g Interior wet surfaces will be sterilized after work is completed
