Wrecking Government Bids & RFPs

The bid submittal deadline is Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. , CST. The contract is to be substantially completed within sixty 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed.

The PHA shall make progress payments approximately every 30 days as the work proceeds, on estimates of work accomplished which meets the standards of quality established under the contract, as approved by the contracting officer. The PHA shall retain ten 10 percent of the amount of progress payments until completion and acceptance of all work under the contract.

All work performed pursuant to this IFB must conform and comply with all applicable local, state and federal codes, statutes, laws and regulations. The contractor shall ensure that all work provided shall be performed in a workmanlike manner and in accordance with all applicable laws, codes, and/or regulations. The contractor must supply warranty information on all products and/or services.

HHA intends to retain a contractor pursuant to a low bid basis, also taking into consideration responsiveness and responsibility. The successful bidder shall be determined as the responsive and responsible bidder who submits the lowest actual or calculated cost as detailed with the IFB, as long as heshe is able to deliver the specified items in a timely manner and it is, in the opinion of the agency, to the best interests of the agency accepting the bid.

Prospective bidders will not be required to prequalify in order to submit a bid. However, all bidders will be required to submit adequate information showing that the bidder is qualified to perform the required work i. e. , profile of firm form and required resumes. Contractor will be licensed by the State Licensing Board of General Contractors of Alabama as required by Title **** of the **** Code of Alabama. Contractor must submit proof of licensing with bid.

Failure to abide by the terms and conditions listed within this document and within the noted internet system shall relieve the HHA, but not the prospective proposer, of any responsibility pertaining to such issue. Bidders are not allowed to change any requirements or forms contained herein, either by making or entering onto these documents or the documents submitted any revisions or additions and if any such additional marks, notations or requirements are entered on any of the documents that are submitted to the HHA by the proposer, such may invalidate that bid.

A prebid conference is scheduled for April 9, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. It is not mandatory, but prospective bidders may ask questions. Attendees should bring a copy of the IFB documents.

The contractor shall supply warranty information on all products and/or services. Samples are not explicitly mentioned as a requirement for submission with the bid.

An alleged aggrieved protestant must file, in writing, to the CO the exact reason for the protest, attaching any supportive data. The protestant must state within the written protest document specifically not by inference what action by the agency or condition is being protested as inequitable, making where appropriate specific reference to the IFB documents issued. The protest document must also state the corrective action requested. Failure by the alleged aggrieved protestant to fully submit such information shall relieve the agency from any responsibility to consider the protest and take any corrective action. The written instrument containing the reason for the protest must be received by the CO within 10 days after the occurrence of any of the following: the deadline for receiving bids or, receipt of notification of the results of the evaluation or the award or, the alleged aggrieved protestant knows or should have known the facts. In any case, protests shall be filed no more than 10 days after any of the above unless the occurrence being protested occurred in its entirety after the bid deadline.
