Elevator Inspection Government Bids & RFPs

The bid is for maintenance services of elevators and lifts at various state facilities. The contract term is for one year with a possibility of four supplemental contract years. Prospective offerors should visit the facilities and familiarize themselves with existing conditions. Questions are due on or before the date listed in the hiepro system. The award will be made to the responsible offeror with the lowest evaluated total sum bid price. The state reserves the right to cancel the rfp and reject any and all offers. The contractor must comply with all laws governing entities doing business in the state. The contractor shall provide insurance information. The contractor shall submit a written warranty for the replacement of any integral part of equipment. All work done and all materials furnished shall be subject to random periodic inspection and approval by the ca. The contractor shall keep the job site free of debris. The contractor shall not contract with any contractor to perform any of the duties listed in this rfp other than those listed on the appropriate offer form a and qualifications forms unless prior written approval is given by dagscsd and the contract administrator. The contractor shall procure all permits and licenses, during the term of the contract and any extension, pay all charges, fees, and taxes, and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the work. The contractor shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the state of hawaii, the contracting agency, and their officers, employees, and agents from and against all liability, loss, damage, costs, and expense including attorneys fees, and all claims, suits, and demands therefore, arising out of or resulting from the acts or omissions of the contractor or the contractors employees, officers, agents, or subcontractors under this contract. The use of materials or equipment containing asbestos is prohibited under this contract. The contract will be considered accepted when all work has been fully completed and all required documents have been submitted. Any protest shall be submitted in writing to the procurement officer. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for the complete inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of the elevators listed on the attached schedule of elevators and lifts group i, ii, iii, and iv elevators lifts, in accordance with these specifications. The contractor shall maintain a supply of parts and materials required for the itemized maintenance service tasks and for routine maintenance and repairs of all elevators. The state shall compensate the contractor for the parts at the contractors cost, plus labor. Work performed by subcontractors may be marked up, up to 10 percent above the contractors cost. The contractor shall keep the jobsite free of debris, litter, refuse, etc. and shall clean up all fluid, oil, and grease spills. The contractor shall remove all tools, used parts, fluids, lubricants, and equipment from the service area upon completion of the work. The contractor shall dispose of all used parts, fluids, and lubricants in accordance with all applicable regulations. The contractor shall exercise caution during the progress of all maintenance service and repair work to prevent damage to any of the buildings. The contractor shall not perform any maintenance service and repair work until all safety barricades are in place. The contractor must be aware of the heightened security conditions at all the state facilities covered by this contract. The contractor is requested to be aware and to report any suspicious activity or obvious breach of security in relation to, or in the course of their work at any of the state facilities to the ca with as much detailed information as possible.
