This is an open, two-step Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for research and development in adaptive fusion, analysis, and reasoning of multisource data. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is awarding a sole-source contract to the University of Illinois for the purchase and sustainment of a high-performance computing (HPC) environment. The contract is for a base period of 18 months for the build-out of the HPC, followed by five one-year option periods for sustainment. The total estimated value of the award is $25,790,****, and the period of performance is from **** to 2031-10-31. The award is justified under FAR ****, allowing for sole-source contracts when necessary to establish or maintain essential engineering, research, or development capabilities. The University of Illinois is the only source identified for this congressionally directed action. NGA will continue to examine opportunities to transition parts of the program to industry or other universities once proof of concept has been demonstrated.
