The City of Maryville Water Department will receive electronically submitted bids for
chemicals for
wastewater and water treatment plants on an as-needed basis. The contract will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. A trial use of an unapproved product may be required. Bids will be awarded based on price, previously demonstrated performance of
chemicals, and ability to deliver in a timely manner. Suppliers must complete pricing forms and submit them with their response. All prices quoted will be F. O. B. the city of Maryville water filtration plant and regional
wastewater treatment plant. Questions regarding the use of your product must be addressed to karen smitherman at ***@***. *. * prior to bid opening. The deadline for submitting questions is May 06, 2025, at 4:30 p. m. Eastern Time. The deadline for submitting bids is May 13, 2025, at 2:00 p. m. Eastern Time. Additional documents required include MSDS sheet, product literature, and certificate of analysis for the product. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award on an item-by-item, schedule basis, all or none basis, or multiple award. The city reserves the right not to award this solicitation. Unsigned or late bids will not be considered. Delivery times are specified for each chemical. No automatic freight or fuel surcharge add-ons will be accepted. Any fuel surcharge must be agreed upon by the respective city prior to shipping. The city reserves the right to request and/or test samples of the product prior to accepting delivery. Due to safety concerns, the city designee must be present and authorize connection to any or all utilities. No driver is allowed to connect to the system without the city designee's permission. No automatic raw materials surcharges will be allowed. If a surcharge is necessary, it must be discussed and agreed to in writing. The city reserves the right to change supplier and product during the term of the contract if a different approved product will provide greater value. Bidders must accept responsibility for verifying availability of specified items prior to submission of bid. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The contract resulting from this solicitation shall be a non-exclusive contract. The vendor shall comply with all laws relating to the manufacture, sale, and purchases of items or services by city governments. No employee, officer, or agent of the city shall participate in the selection, or award of, or administration of a contract if a conflict of interest, real or apparent, would be involved. Bidders must disclose information regarding any current or pending litigation that their company or principals have been involved with for the last 5 years. Bidders must obtain solicitation documents from the city's website and submit bids by mail or common carrier to the address listed herein or electronically to ***@***. *. * for construction projects exceeding $25,**** must include the required contractor license information with their submittal. The city will not be liable for any charges for packaging, crating, carting, drayage, or storage in excess of the purchase price of this order unless stated otherwise herein. The seller guarantees that the articles described herein and the sale or use of them will not infringe upon any U. S. or foreign patent. The seller covenants that he will, at his own expense, defend every suit which may be brought against the city, or those selling or using the city's product provided seller is promptly notified of such suit and all papers therein are delivered to the seller for any alleged infringement of any patent by reason of the sale or use of such articles and seller agrees that he will pay all costs, damages and profits recovered in any such suit.
