The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) is seeking bids for furnishing and deploying approved cultch material for oyster bed development in the western Mississippi Sound. Bidders must submit a 5-gallon sample of non-domestic or non-traditional cultch material. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, with a total contract price not to exceed $1,000,**** must be submitted by February 17, 2026, and answers will be published by February 18, 2026. The deadline for bid submission is March 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. The reverse auction start date is tentatively set for March 11, 2026. The contractor will move and deploy cultch material between April 8, 2026 and June 30, 2027. Bidders must be registered in the MAGIC system. The contract start date is the date the contract is signed by the selected bidder and the executive director of the MDMR. The end date is fourteen 14 months from the start date.
The contractor will move and deploy cultch material between April 8, 2026 and June 30, 2027, with actual deployment dates to be determined by the mdmr.
The MDMR makes payments within 45 days of receiving an approved invoice. Payment will not be made for work performed before the execution or after expiration of this contract.
The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder who supplies the maximum amount of limestone or other approved cultch material to be deployed to the planting sites selected by the mdmr at the lowest price per cubic yard, not to exceed a total contract price of 1,000,****.
Bidders must have prior experience furnishing and deploying cultch material and must submit at least one prior project of comparable scope they have successfully completed which demonstrates the required experience, including a description of the work performed and one 1 reference customer for the project with contact name, phone number, and email address.
If a contract is canceled by the state due to a contractors request for increase in prices or failure to perform, that contractor will be disqualified from bidding for a period of 24 months.
Bidders proposing any nondomestic or nontraditional cultch material must include a marked 5 gallon representative sample of the cultch material at the time of the bid submittal.
The protest must be filed within seven days after you know, or should have known, of the facts giving rise to your protest. Late protests will not be considered.
The price of this project will not exceed 1,000,****.
