RFP for pruning of honey locusts Hartford Village and Hartford Point Cemetery 1. Using ANSI standards, prune the branches of the four honey locusts at the center of Hartford Village so that they no longer overhang and touch the adjacent buildings as well as remove other low hanging and dead branches and those branches that interfere with service lines and lamp posts. 2. At Hartford Point Cemetery, using ANSI standards, remove branches that are dead or dying, diseased or infested, rubbing, weakened or broken, 1 diameter or larger material on both sides of the fence. Chip and haul away the debris. Ensure that traffic is controlled during work. 3. At Hartford Main St. or **** Maple St. , judiciously trim lateral branches of the four mature honey locusts that are growing close and over the top of buildings so that there is approximately 3 feet of clearance between them. Remove dead branches and other branches that interfere with power lines and lamp posts. Use ANSI pruning methods without removing more than 25% of

Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, including a certificate of insurance (COI) with general liability and workers compensation, naming the Town of Hartford as additional insured, and a current year W-9 form. Proposals received after the deadline (August 25th, 2 PM) will not be accepted. The contractor must list prior experience and may be required to provide references demonstrating successful completion of similar work, demonstrate consistent high-quality workmanship, and own or have access to the required equipment. The scope of work includes supervision, personnel, layout, labor, materials, tools, appurtenances, equipment, traffic control, erosion control, staging, disposal sites, services, mobilization/demobilization, sweeping, insurances, and services required to perform the work. Workers compensation and general liability insurance requirements are detailed. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to negotiate with any qualified source, or to cancel the RFP. All bids become the property of the Town.
