The Genesee County Road Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All bids must be in conformance with the documents. Markings shall not be placed when rain is threatening or when the surface is wet. Bidders must submit a letter outlining past experience in pavement markings in other cities and county road commissions. Minimum of two years is needed. A list of counties and/or cities for which your company has done pavement marking must be attached. Bid must be accompanied by a safety data sheet. Insurance requirements are detailed in the document. The contract term is one year, renewable for an additional year. The submission of a bid constitutes a bid to any other governmental entity under the same conditions, price, and effective period. The successful bidder must identify all subcontractors regardless of the dollar amount or percentage and the services they will provide. The successful bidder is responsible for all payments and liabilities of all subcontractors. The GCPC reserves the right to approve or reject any proposed subcontractor. The GCPC reserves the right to purchase goods and/or services specified herein, or of equal or like kind, through contracts established by other governmental agencies or through separate procurement actions. Payment will be made upon final delivery and acceptance of all supplies ordered on each purchase order issued. The GCPC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in part or whole, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received. The GCPC reserves the right to split or abstract any or all bid proposals and award multiple contracts from the same quotation based on price, availability and service when in its judgment it best serves the GCPC. The GCPC will not pay for any additional transportation and/or shipping charges. The GCPC reserves the right to accept or reject any price redeterminations. The GCPC will not pay fuel surcharges. The successful bidder shall furnish the GCPC with a performance bond and lien bond, each in the amount of not less than 100% of the total contract price. The bidder must submit a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the bid price, along with the bid, payable to the GCPC. The successful bidder must have an approved Equal Employment Opportunity Commission compliance form (EEOP) on file with the GCPC before a contract or purchase order can be executed. The EEOP must be prepared on forms available from the road commission personnel office. The EEOP is valid for three years. The contractor shall comply with all applicable regulations promulgated pursuant to the civil rights act of ****, as amended.
