Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Board of County Road Commissioners of Ottawa County, Rosy Mound Drive at US31, Grand Haven, Michigan, until 10:00 a. m. , Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Bidders must examine the plans, specifications, and location of the work. The proposal must be legibly prepared with ink or typed, unit prices entered in the unit prices column, lump sum bids in the amounts column, and signed. Proposals with any unit price or lump sum bid prepared with pencil or omitted will be rejected. The proposal must include a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory performance and lien bonds. Insurance requirements are in accordance with section **** of the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 standard specifications for construction. Payments will be made on approximately 90% of the estimated work completed by the last day of each two-week period, payable by approximately the following Thursday. Final payment will be made when the entire project is complete and accepted. The contractor shall file an affidavit that all payrolls, material bills, and all other indebtedness have been paid. The proposal is on a unit price basis. The project shall be completed 10 weeks after the start of work, by August 22, 2025. No work shall be performed on Sundays and Independence Day. Saturday work will only be allowed with prior approval from the engineer. Additional information regarding traffic maintenance, driveway grading, shoulder construction, culvert wrapping, hot mix asphalt application, recycled hot mix asphalt mixture, acceptance of HMA mixture, mailbox posts, minor traffic devices, utility coordination, title VI nondiscrimination assurance, and environmental clauses are included in the notice.

Sealed bids will be received by the Ottawa County Road Commission for street sweeping for county roads and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for the years 2025, 2026, and 2027. Bids are due Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Specifications and bidding blanks are available at the road commission office and online at www. ***. *. * bid document must be submitted on the form supplied by the road commission in a sealed envelope. The contractor must use approved vacuum sweepers, provide insurance, and coordinate with district supervisors. Payment will be made monthly based on unit prices bid. Estimated quantities are included in the itemized bid sheet. The road commission reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities without adjustment to unit prices. The contractor must be prequalified for the type of services specified. Any permits, licenses, certificates, or fees required in the performance of the work shall be obtained and paid for by the contractor. The contract may be renewed for two additional one-year extensions, subject to satisfactory performance and unit price. The contract may be cancelled for nonperformance or inadequate performance. The contractor must furnish a performance bond in an amount at least equal to the total two-year bid, one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, as security for faithful performance. The performance bond must remain in effect for the full three-year contract period. The contract may not be assigned to a third party without the written consent of MDOT.

Bids for liquid calcium chloride are being received for application on roads in Chester, Polkton, Wright, and Tallmadge townships in Ottawa County. Material must meet MDOT specifications. Bids must include analysis of material, price per gallon, discounts, and shipping charges. The contractor recommended application rate should also be included. A copy of the analysis of material must be enclosed with the bid. Work must be completed within 5 days of the initial start date. The township may determine the number of applications and application rate. The liquid will be applied under pressure and calibrated in continuous application on any road/street within Ottawa County. Additional product information must meet specifications. Bidders must provide their email, phone number, and a certificate of insurance in a sealed envelope marked Township Brining Bids. The bid form must be returned to the Ottawa County Road Commission by Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
