Lot 1: Specifications for Rental of Complete Sound System Price shall be based on per system per day ( 11 days). Exact number of systems required is estimated between two and five. This is not a guarantee. Equipment must be set up and tested prior to the opening of the Kentucky State Fair. 2026 dates are Thursday, August 20 - Sunday, August 30. Each system shall meet the following minimum requirements: Front of House: 24 channel mixer with at least two effect sends 1/3 octave ( active) equalization 3- way speaker system w/active electronic crossover minimum **** watts Monitors: 16 x 4 monitor mixer 4 - floor wedges 200 watts ( active or passive) 1 - drum monitor 200 watts ( active or passive) 4 - 1/3 Octave Eqs ( 1 per send) 5 - 200 watt amps ( 1 per speaker) These are minimum requirements. Estimated usage: Wired Microphones ( 25) Wireless Handheld Microphones ( 25) Wireless Lavalier Microphones ( 10) Wireless Belt Packs ( 10) Wireless Handsets ( 10) Direct Boxes ( 5) Boom Stands ( 60) Microphone Cables ( 50) Input for External Device ( i. e. laptop, phone, M3) ( 5) Stands ( 24) CD Player ( 1)
Lot 2: Specifications for Sound Technician Services Vendor to quote hourly rate for Sound Technicians to set up and operate KY Exposition Center ( KEC) and rental sound equipment as required. All hours worked will be paid at quoted price, no overtime rate will be paid. Hours are estimates and not to be taken as guarantees. Number of technicians per day is estimated to be between five and nine. Sound technicians must have at least four years experience in operation of sound equipment for stage shows. Vendor must submit proof of this with bid ( resumes of employees who are going to work at KEC). Bid will not be considered without this information. Quote on these services to be based on location not portal to portal. Daily reports shall be delivered to KY Exposition Center ( KEC) Sound Dept by 10am the following day for review. In the event the contract being awarded to a vendor unfamiliar to the KEC Sound Dept a pre- fair meeting and/or on- site demonstration of equipment may be requested or required ( at vendor' s expense). All employees of the vendor shall dress in a uniform manner approved by Kevin Tremmel or his designee. Use of alcohol or illegal drugs by vendor or his employees will not be tolerated. While under contract, all employees of the vendor will adhere to policies set forth by the Ky State Fair Board.
