Proposals are due by June 26th, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST. The county's target is to receive a completed, issued audit report no later than May 31 of the year following the fiscal year under audit.

All invoices shall be submitted to the county of Merrimack on a net 30 basis. The county is exempt from state and federal taxes.

The proposal must guarantee terms for a period of ninety (90) days following the due date. The selected firm shall provide a management letter communicating any observations, recommendations, or matters of interest identified during the audit.

Proposals will be evaluated based on weighted criteria: Qualifications, Experience, and References (25%), Proposed Audit Approach (25%), Proposal Pricing (40%), and Submission Completeness and Compliance (10%).

Firms must be qualified, independent certified public accounting (CPA) firms. Proposals must include firm overview, engagement team identification, relevant experience, references, proposed audit approach, cost proposal, ACFR response, and certificate of authority.

In case of failure to provide goods/services as specified, Merrimack County may procure goods/services from other sources and hold the contractor responsible for any and all excess costs. Time is of the essence for delivery.
