Onslow County Schools is seeking proposals for the reroofing of Dixon High School's Mini Gym, Annex Gym, 4 Classroom Building, and Breezeway. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Dixon High School. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on July 2, 2026. The contract is intended to cover requirements from award date through 7/30/2027, with an option to extend for two additional years. The scope includes removal of existing roofing materials and installation of new TPO membrane roofing systems. A 1-year warranty on labor and workmanship is required, along with a 20-year manufacturer's warranty on materials and a 10-year water tightness warranty. Contractors are responsible for all inspections and permits.

The award will be made to the vendor whose proposal is most advantageous to Onslow County Schools, considering factors such as prices offered, quality, general reputation, performance capabilities, conformity with specifications, suitability for intended use, related services, and delivery/performance dates. The award of the contract will be made as soon as practical to the vendor whose proposal is shown to be most advantageous to Onslow County Schools.
Proposals may be subject to rejection unless submitted on the provided form. Vendors must also comply with North Carolina General Statutes regarding competitive bidding and not be an ineligible vendor. In the event of default, Onslow County Schools may procure goods and services from other sources and hold the vendor responsible for any excess costs. The contract may also be terminated for cause, and the vendor may be debarred from future business. In the event of default by the vendor, onslow county schools may, as provided by nc law, procure goods and services necessary to complete performance hereunder from other sources and hold the vendor responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby.

Samples, when required, must be furnished free of expense and will be returned upon request within 10 days following the date of response opening. Protests regarding a contract award must be submitted in writing to the Director of Procurement Materials Management within ten (10) consecutive calendar days from the date of the contract award. When an offeror wants to protest a contract awarded by onslow county schools resulting from this solicitation, they must submit a written request to the director of procurement materials management, onslow county schools, 200 broadhurst road, jacksonville, nc 28540. This request must be received in the onslow county schools purchasing department within ten 10 consecutive calendar days from the date of the contract award.
