Construction Services, including maintenance and repair The project involves reclaiming approximately 44 acres adversely affected by previous coal mining operations in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. This includes eliminating approximately 1. 1 acres of an acid pit, backfilling it with onsite mine spoil material, and capping it. The water in the pit will be treated before release. Spoil ridges will be graded, and payment will be by the cubic yard for mine spoil excavation.

Lot 1: ONLY ONLINE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS RFB. Emailed and hard copies delivered by any method WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. On this line, Bidders must enter $ 0. 00 for Contract Amount in the e- procurement system. Actual Contract Amount must be entered on " Official Bid Document" and submitted as an attachment in the e- procurement system. Vendors should review and update, if necessary, all addresses and contact persons for their account prior to bid submission. This information will carry forward to a contract if awarded, therefore please ensure all information is correct. Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The **** ( Vogue Slurry AML Reclamation Project) is in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, at North **** ****, West **** **** and will reclaim approximately 44 acres adversely affected by previous coal mining operations. The total project viewshed is 180 acres, and only 44 acres proposed for construction will be within those 180 acres. The entire 180 acres has been disturbed by previous pre- law surface mining activities. The project consists of eliminating approximately 1. 1 acres of an acid pit which will be backfilled with adjacent onsite mine spoil material ( 12 acres) and capped with the best material available on site. The water in the pit will be treated and raised to a pH of 6 or greater prior to release and backfilling of the pit in accordance with KYDAML Technical Specifications. Water tests taken on December 5, 2025, show the water in the pit with a pH of 6. 7 and iron over 10 mg/l. Acidic spoils adjacent to the pit shall be used first in backfilling the pit to eliminate the acid forming potential of these materials. This effort will require additional effort and may require double handling of some soils. Spoil ridges in the designated areas will be graded at a maximum 3: 1 slope with the best available material brought to the surface. Payment for this work will be by the cubic yard for Mine Spoil Excavation

Janitorial Services Lot 1: Janitorial and other grounds maintenance at interstate rest area facilities on I65 in Bullitt County, KY. Lot 2: Supplemental temporary staffing for rest area facilities due to increased travel.

Lot 2: Supplemental Temporary Staffing Vendor shall provide additional temporary staffing upon request of the Department. Temporary labor staffing shall be provided to fulfill the demands and needs of the Rest Area facilities due to increased travel resulting from holidays, local events, and seasonal travel patterns. The Department shall provide Vendor a Delivery Order indicating the number of temporary staff individuals, work shifts, and the beginning and ending dates and times. Vendor shall invoice the Department for the additional labor man- hours as a separate item on the regular monthly invoice. Any and all additional staffing above the minimum staffing level as determined in this Master Agreement must be approved by the District Rest Area Coordinator or a designee of the Chief District Engineer.
