Solicitation for sod for the Long Island region, with a contract period of 5 years. Bids are due July 10, 2026. The procurement is divided into four lots, each with specific sod types and height of cut requirements. Delivery locations include Bethpage State Park, Montauk Downs State Park, and Sunken Meadow State Park. Bidders must be sod manufacturers or turfgrass producers. Electronic bids are preferred. Proposals received after the date and time specified in the IFB timeline will not be considered for award and may be returned, unopened, to the sender. It is the bidder's responsibility to allow adequate time to deliver an electronic preferred or hardcopy bid before the date and time specified.
The agency pays charges after the services and/or products are provided and does not pay in advance for these services and/or products. Fees paid for which it is subsequently determined that the contractor was not entitled must be reimbursed to the agency.
All materials and workmanship provided under the resultant contract shall be warranted for a minimum of one year. Where the contractor, product manufacturer, or service provider generally offers additional or more advantageous warranties, such additional or more advantageous warranty shall apply.
Contracts will be awarded by each lot to a responsive, responsible and qualified bidder who offers the lowest grand total bid meeting all minimum specifications of the lot bid as outlined in this IFB.
To be deemed qualified and responsive, bidders must be a sod manufacturer or turfgrass producer, which grow, harvest, and supply mature grass in rolls or pallets for instant landscapes.
Any dispute arising from this IFB, or from any resulting contract, shall be submitted in writing within seven 7 business days after the issuance of the award recommendation letter, to the designated contact provided on the cover of this IFB.
Contacting individuals other than a designated contact listed on the front page of this IFB may result in the disqualification of the bidder's proposal. Failure to include any amendment information in your proposal may result in disqualification.
