Waste Transfer Government Bids & RFPs

The bid is for solid waste loading, transportation, and disposal services. Bids must be received by March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM. All bids must be signed by an authorized agent and submitted on the prescribed forms. Questions must be submitted in writing by 4:30 PM CST on March 30, 2026. The initial contract term is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with potential for four additional years. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond within five days of notification of award. The bidder must provide detailed proposed fees. The bidder shall not discriminate against any person. The bidder must maintain liability insurance. The bidder must have and maintain all required permits and licenses. The bidder is required to identify the final disposal site. The bidder must clearly state in its bid that the bidder shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless robertson county from any and all liability. Bids must be submitted in a uniform format. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing services listed on the bid form. The bidder shall be required to transport and dispose of all solid waste from the transfer station for a five 5 year period. The bidder shall provide all permits, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for placement of trailers, transportation, and disposal of solid waste. The bidder shall not discriminate against any person. The bidder shall have and maintain all required permits and licenses, and shall promptly pay all taxes and fees required by any federal, state or local authority. The bidder is required to identify the final disposal site. The bidder must clearly state in its bid that the bidder shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless robertson county from any and all liability. The bidder must complete the required affidavits and other required documents. The bidder must provide anticipated operation hours for hauling/transporting waste. The bidder shall pushup and load waste into bidders trailers, tarp, transport to a permitted class i sanitary landfill and bidder pays for the disposal and then invoices the county monthly for loading, transporting, and disposal costs.

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids for improvements and additions to the Big Lake Transfer Station. Questions are due by March 19th, 2026. A site visit is scheduled for March 13th, 2026. The deadline for submissions is March 26th, 2026.
